Bindi Irwin is updating fans on her health after her appendix ruptured.
The 26-year-old conservationist took to Instagram on Monday (May 12) to share how she’s been recovering since she underwent recent emergency surgery.
“I had my appendix removed. I also had 14 new endometriosis lesions that had to be removed, and they kindly stitched up my hernia as well,” she explained in the clip.
“I’m so lucky to have so much love in my life from my beautiful family. We’ll get through this,” she added.
Bindi also added more details about her recovery in the caption.

If you didn’t know, Bindi‘s brother Robert revealed on Sunday (May 11) that Bindi could not attend the annual Steve Irwin Gala due to her medical emergency. There, he also praised Bindi for her openness about her endometriosis diagnosis.
