Anna Wintour is addressing a viral rumor about the Met Gala.
For years, it was been speculated that the 75-year-old Vogue Editor-in-Chief has to approve every guests’ outfit that they plan on wearing to the big event.
In a new interview ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, Anna set the record straight on the rumor.
Keep reading to find out more…“No,” Anna said with a laugh when Good Morning America‘s Michael Strahan asked if she indeed approves every look ahead of time.
“Many call and ask our advice, so we try and help some of them as best we can,” Anna added. “Some, no idea.”
As previously announced, the annual event – held on the first Monday in May each year – will have the following theme for 2025: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” It’s the first Met Gala to focus on menswear since 2003!
