Lar Park Lincoln Dead at 63


The soap opera community is mourning one of its own.

Lar Park Lincoln, who played dual characters on Dallas spinoff Knot’s Landing for five years, died April 22, her company America’s Audition Studios announced on Facebook. She was 63.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach,” the Dallas-based actors training program wrote April 24. “Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors.”

The actress had battled breast cancer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Her company’s post went on to acknowledge some of Lars’ most famous acting roles, including 1985 film Children of the Night 

“Lar earned the Bronze Halo Award for her contributions to entertainment,” her business wrote, “and is best remembered as the telekinetic ‘scream queen’ Tina Sheppard in Friday the 13th Part VII.”

The announcement of her passing also noted that her husband of 14 years Michael, as well as her parents and two brothers, preceded her in death. Still, she’s survived by many family members, including multiple children.
