People are already calling for Adrien Brody‘s gum to get a place in the Academy Museum.
The 51-year-old actor won the award for Best Actor at the 2025 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
While walking up to the stage to accept his Oscar, Adrien paused on the stairs and threw his gum to girlfriend Georgina Chapman, who caught it while in the front row.
The orchestra tried to play Adrien off stage with music, but he told them to stop playing.
“I’m wrapping up, please turn the music off,” he said. “I’ve done this before. Thank you. It’s not my first rodeo, but I will will be brief.”
This is Adrien‘s second win for Best Actor after previously winning for The Pianist back in 2003. On the red carpet, Halle Berry recreated the moment when he kissed her on stage while accepting the award.
Adrien still holds the record for being the youngest actor to win Best Actor. He was 29 at the time of his first win!
