Rick Devens is showing up for his no. 1 ally in life.
This time, instead of waging battle in the Big Brother house, Rick will be fighting alongside his loved ones and a lot closer to home after his wife, Becca Devens, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“We feel like politicians right now,” Becca joked in their Oct. 25 Instagram video, “but we just wanted to let you know some important news because it would be weird if we didn’t tell you before I like had to go have surgery.”
“So, Rick won Big Brother,” she added, to which Rick chimed in, “That’s not the news, though.”
Instead, Becca shared that after she and Rick came back from the CBS competition’s finale night on Oct. 1, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“So, that sucks,” she added. “But we caught it early because I do my mammograms like a good girl, and I’m gonna get a double mastectomy, and that’ll be fun. But because we got it early, we think that’s all we have to do, which is great.”
