Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is ready to get loud with an incredible update.
Nearly seven months after sharing her stage one cervical cancer diagnosis, which led to her undergoing a hysterectomy in July, the Jersey Shore star noted she’s now “on the other side.”
“As of right now, I am cancer-free,” she told People in an interview published Sept. 18. “They got everything out. So I’m definitely happy that I did it.”
“I avoided getting my pap smear for a long time,” Snooki added. “And once I finally went to the doctors, I feel like it’s just been week after week of doing a procedure, then another procedure, and then a hysterectomy. So, it’s been a journey and a long road, but I’m happy that I’m on the other side of it and everything is going good.”
And though she’s seeing the upside of her recovery, Snooki—who is mom to kids Lorenzo, 13, Giovanna, 11, and Angelo, 6, with husband Jionni LaValle—is still taking it one day at a time.
