There was nothing heinous about Taylor Swift teaming up with the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit cast for an Emmys 2026 sketch.
In fact, Kelli Giddish—who appeared in the pre-taped skit, which aired during the Sept. 14 ceremony hosted by costar Mariska Hargitay—revealed that the “Karma” singer had delicious gift for their elite squad when she visited the SVU set to film the parody.
“She’s totally sweet, down to earth, a beautiful spirit—and made really good cookies,” Giddish told Women In Entertainment in a Sept. 15 interview. “They were sourdough, brown butter, chocolate chip.”
“And I’m kind of a cookie snob,” the actress continued, “so I was really pleased.”
Giddish, 46, was also thrilled that Swift, 36, honored her one request when she first learned that the Grammy winner was making a cameo.
“We were so happy to host her,” Giddish shared. “Mariska told me about it, and I was like, ‘Can she be holding her cat?'”
Indeed, Swift’s beloved feline Olivia Benson—named after Hargitay’s character on the police drama—made an appearance on the parody, as did SVU stars Ice-T, Peter Scanavino and Aimé Donna Kelly.
