‘Boys of Tommen’ Unveils Shirtless Conor Sanchez, Wistful Nancy Surridge

Prime Video has set fans’ pulses racing after unveiling the first images from its upcoming YA adaptation “Boys of Tommen.”

Starring Conor Sánchez as rugby player Johnny Kavanagh and Nancy Surridge as shy new girl Shannon Lynch, the series is adapted from Chloe Walsh’s teen romance novel set at an Irish boarding school.

In the first images from the set, revealed Tuesday at Prime Video’s Obsessed Retreat, a two-day immersive event in Germany, viewers got a sneak peek at what they can expect from the upcoming series, with Sánchez shirtless and downcast on the pitch while Surridge is in a bedroom staring forlornly at the window.

Season 1 is based on the first two novels in Walsh’s series.

“Both teenagers are hiding secrets,” reads the logline. “Johnny, a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon, a troubled and violent homelife. Through their secret and highly charged connection, the two teens from opposite worlds battle against the odds and find a way to save each other.”

The series also stars James O’Donoghue as Joey Lynch, Sophie McGibbon as Aoife Molloy, Amelia May as Claire Biggs, John Hewson as Gerard Gibson, Indy Lewis as Lizzie Young, Alex Dunne as Hugh Biggs, Dixie Egerickx as Katie Wilmot, and Jamie Schneider as Patrick Feely. They are joined by Daisy Jacob as Bella Wilkinson, Jonathan Heed as Cormac Ryan, Cathal Ó Síocháin as Ronan McGarry, James Craven as Pierce O’Neill and Lewis Brophy as Podge.

Brendan Canty (“Christy”) directs the first season, which is adapted by “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” scribe Poppy Cogan. It is produced by global independent studio Wiip in association with Amazon MGM Studios.
