Bruce Campbell Shares He Has 5 Years to Live Amid Cancer Battle

Bruce Campbell is facing a heartbreaking reality about his health.

Six months after the Evil Dead star shared he was diagnosed with cancer, he opened up about his prognosis, revealing his medical team has given him five years to live “give or take”

“I’m in a five-year prognosis,” Campbell said during a recent appearance on The Adam Carolla Show. “With the type of cancer that I have, which I don’t want to get into, the current thing is a five-year deal.”

But that statistic isn’t holding the 68-year-old back from enjoying the time he does have.

“It’s a fascinating thing that takes place because [cancer] messes with your head, too. I’ve decided though, pretty specifically, to live with it, not die from it,” he explained. “You can go down a massive rabbit hole. The cancer rabbit hole is enormous. You can go into focus groups of 10,000 guys who have exactly what you have. I won’t touch it with a 10-foot pole.”

Instead, he’s throwing himself into his work, which includes promoting his latest film Ernie & Emma.
