Glen Powell’s football comedy “Chad Powers” is back for Season 2, which will release Sept. 3 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
People are starting to catch on to the odd behavior of Russ Holliday, aka Chad Powers (Glen Powell) this second season, especially Coach Hudson (Steve Zahn) and Gerry (Colton Ryan). As much as they detest working with him, only Ricky (Perry Mattfeld) can keep Russ’ lie from collapsing and lead Chad and the Catfish to the College Football Playoff.
Also starring in Season 2 are Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia Yeager and Frankie Rodriguez as Danny.
“Chad Powers” is based on the “Eli’s Places” segment from ESPN and Omaha Productions and was co-created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron. Executive producing the second season are Eli Manning; Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz and Ben Brown; ESPN’s Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart and Craig Lazarus; Powell and Dan Cohen under Barnstorm Productions; Anomaly Pictures’ Waldron and Adam Fasullo; and Luvh Rakhe.

Acorn TV is bringing back “Art Detectives” for a two-part special in December and a full six-episode season in 2027, with production set to begin in Belfast and Northern Ireland this July.
“Art Detectives” follows the Heritage Crime Unit, a police department consisting of Detective Inspector Mick Palmer (Stephen Moyer) and DC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh), as they investigate murders and thefts in the shadows of the art world. Larry Lamb returns for the second season as Ron Palmer, Mick’s art-forging father who is now serving time.
Season 1 of “Art Detectives” premiered in June 2025 on Acorn TV. It was Acorn TV’s most-watched new series premiere.
“Acorn TV viewers eagerly embraced the first season of Art Detectives for its compelling characters and unique twist on the mystery genre,” Acorn TV senior vice president of programming Don Klees said. “On the heels of successful, and well-received seasons of ‘You’re Killing Me’ and ‘Harry Wild,’ we’re thrilled to be bringing fans another round of investigations that’s sure to keep them guessing throughout each episode.”
The Acorn TV original is produced by Black Dog Television, Dynamic Television and Acorn Media Enterprises, with additional funding from Northern Ireland Screen.
“Art Detectives” is created and written by Dan Gaster, Will Ing and Paul Powell. Jennie Paddon, Declan Recks and Sam O’Mahony direct. The series is executive produced by Gaster, Ing and Powell (Black Dog Television), Daniel March and Klaus Zimmermann (Dynamic Television), Bea Tammer and Catherine Mackin (Acorn TV/Acorn Media Enterprises) and Stephen Moyer. Candida Julian-Jones is the series producer and Martin Mahon is the producer.
