Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere React to Working Together 30 Years After Parents’ Divorce
While their parents’ romance ended in shards, Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere have created a harmonious working relationship.
Indeed, the Shards costars have a surprising connection, as Gerber’s mother Cindy Crawford and Gere’s father Richard Gere were married from 1991 to 1995. Yet, despite their parents’ former union, the two had never been introduced before working on the Ryan Murphy drama.
“We hadn’t met before shooting,” Homer, whose mom is the Runaway Bride star’s second wife Carey Lowell, exclusively told E! News at the New York City premiere of The Shards on July 27. “Two weeks before, we met at a bar with all the other cast and we became friends. It’s funny.”
After working on the FX series—an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel—the Euphoria alum’s bond with Kaia, 24, has only grown.
“From the inside, it’s really normal,” Homer, 26, continued. “We just became friends as coworkers before we started working and she’s become a really close friend. It’s been lovely working with her.”
