Jay-Z is putting family on top.
The Roc Nation founder surprised fans at the first night of his 30th anniversary concert series for his 1996 album Reasonable Doubt by making the night a family affair, inviting wife Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy Carter to join him onstage at Yankee Stadium July 10.
Indeed, Beyoncé joined Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter) during a rendition of “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” which originally featured Mary J. Blige.
In social media footage from the concert, the Destiny’s Child alum—who also shares 9-year-old twins Rumi and Sir with Jay-Z—belted the lyrics to the 1996 hit wearing a bedazzled pinstripe jumpsuit and statement jewelry. As Queen Bey strutted across the stage, Jay-Z couldn’t help but dote over his wife’s voice.
As he said during their duet, “Oh, she can sing.”
But Beyoncé also gave the “99 Problems” rapper his flowers.
“Give it up for my baby,” she said before transition to a soulful rendition of “Love on Top,” “He’s the man.”
Before exiting the stage, Beyoncé, 44, gave her husband a tender kiss, adding, “I love you so much.”
