Hayden Panettiere is remembering her brother Jansen on the second anniversary of his passing.
The 35-year-old Scream actress lost her brother suddenly in 2023 due to an undiagnosed heart condition.
On Wednesday (February 19), she took to social media to reflect on the difficult anniversary.

“2 years ago today, I lost my little brother,” she wrote on Instagram. “This amazing human being touched the lives of so many. Especially mine. The pain isn’t quantifiable. I pray you’re in a beautiful place J. That you’re at peace and that when all is said and done…I’ll see you again. Rest easy brother. You are so missed and beyond loved. 💜”
Hayden included a selfie of her and Jansen.
“He was my only sibling, and it was my job to protect him,” the actress said about the heartbreaking tragedy in a September 2024 interview. “When I lost him, I felt like I lost half of my soul.”
Our thoughts are with Hayden, her family and everyone who knew and loves Jansen.
