Zaire Wade is in the midst of legal troubles.
The eldest son of former NBA player Dwyane Wade was arrested in Burbank, Calif., on June 21 after police were called to a local residence.
According to the Burbank Police Department’s daily arrest logs viewed by E! News, the 24-year-old was arrested for “domestic violence, criminal threats, false imprisonment and attempted murder.”
However, Zaire was ultimately charged with felony domestic violence, criminal threats and false imprisonment, the BPD confirmed to E! News. An emergency protective order (EPO)—a temporary restraining order issued to protect the victim—was also obtained.
After being booked, Zaire posted a $50,000 bail and was released later that day, with Burbank Police noting that no plea has been entered at this time. The department also confirmed that detectives will be presenting the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for filing considerations.
E! News has reached out to reps for Zaire’s family for additional comment, but has not heard back.
