‘Survivor’ Animated Movie in the Works From Paramount Animation

The tribe has spoken — and it wants an animated “Survivor” movie featuring animal contestants. Paramount Animation, in partnership with CBS, is in development on an animated comedy based on CBS’ long-running “Survivor,” with host Jeff Probst executive producing.

The official synopsis reads: “Set on a remote and mystical island, animals from all around the globe compete for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be crowned the sole Survivor.”

“I’m so excited to be teaming up with Paramount Animation to bring you Survivor like you’ve never seen it before…in the animal kingdom!,” Probst wrote on his Instagram. “This will be an all-out comedy with animals competing for the chance to be crowned the sole Survivor. Let’s go!!!!”

Jennifer Dodge, who was named president of Paramount Animation in November, oversees the department that recently announced Christmas film “The Naughty List” from Robert Rodriguez, and has “PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie” releasing on Aug. 14.

Hosted by five-time Emmy winner Probst, “Survivor” is currently in production in Fiji for a fall broadcast on CBS. The series made its debut in 2000 and recently concluded its 50th season with the most-watched finale since 2020.
