Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber Reveal Which Olsen Twin “Did Not Like” Filming Full House
Whoa, baby—there’s no drama here.
While Jodie Sweetin and her Full House costars Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are not as close as they were when they portrayed Stephanie and Michelle Tanner on TV respectively, it’s not because of an inciting incident.
“I think after Full House and growing up and everything, they’ve had an extremely different trajectory than any of the rest of us,” Jodie explained on the April 21 epsiode of the McBride Rewind podcast. “People say, ‘Oh, well, do you guys not talk? Is it bad?’ No, they were 8 years old when the show finished. We weren’t as close as we were. I didn’t see them all the time.”
She continued, “It wasn’t like there was bad blood between any of us, but they moved to New York and then got married and were fashion empire and moved into that world. It was, like, we just sort of drifted apart.”
Plus, as the 44-year-old noted, even being just three years older than Mary-Kate and Ashley were during filming meant that Full House took place during more of Jodie’s “formative years.”
