‘Lemme Say This’ Podcast Relaunches Under Obamas’ Higher Ground Deal

Higher Ground Productions, the media company founded by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, inked a deal to relaunch “Lemme Say This,” a weekly entertainment podcast hosted by best friends Hunter Harris and Peyton Dix, as part of the Higher Ground network.

“Lemme Say This” features Harris and Dix taking deep dives on pop-culture news, celebrity gossip and online chatter.

The podcast debuted in May 2024. Previously affiliated with Amazon’s Wondery, “Lemme Say This” has been on hiatus since October 2025. Now it’s resuming a weekly schedule under the Higher Ground deal, starting Thursday, April 30. “Lemme Say This” will continue to be available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other major platforms with new episodes releasing every Thursday morning.

Harris and Dix said in a joint statement: “Our group chat has overheated with hot takes, movie reviews and dramatic play-by-plays of internet microdramas. We are so excited to get back on the mic and return to the ‘Lemme Say This’ listeners we love so much. This show is a safe space for anyone whose English teacher loved them, people with too many hours of screen time, cinephiles, and bisexuals. Come on in, the water is fine.”

Per the description from Higher Ground, the duo are “two professional busybodies, connoisseurs of mess and aspiring hot divorcees” who have been BFFs for over a decade, “sharing the traumas of run-down Boston dorm rooms and a pitiful Brooklyn dating scene.”

Dix and Harris are based in New York City. Dix previously led social teams at InStyle and Paper Magazine and served as the global social director at MAC Cosmetics; she has since worked with brands including HBO and Amazon Music and has written for Elle, W Magazine and The Strategist. Harris wrote a profile of the cast of “Succession” for New York magazine and of Zendaya for GQ, among other bylines. In addition, Harris writes “Hung Up,” a pop-culture Substack newsletter, and has served as a writer for HBO Max’s “Gossip Girl” reboot.

“Hunter and Peyton have built something genuinely special – a show that is as smart and insightful as it is deeply, irresistibly fun,” said Dan Fierman, head of audio at Higher Ground. “They are two of the sharpest, funniest, and most perceptive voices in culture today, and they have an audience that loves them fiercely and for very good reason. We are thrilled to welcome ‘Lemme Say This’ to the Higher Ground family.”

Harris is repped by 3 Arts Entertainment and WME and Dix is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Other podcasts in Higher Ground’s network include weekly interview show “Talk Easy With Sam Fragoso” and “IMO With Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,” which features the former First Lady and her older brother. The company also has released “The Wonder of Stevie,” a seven-episode series covering Stevie Wonder’s iconic legacy; “Fela Kuti: Fear No Man,” a 12-episode Audible original about the Nigerian musician, hosted by Radiolab’s Jad Abumrad; “Your Mama’s Kitchen,” hosted by journalist Michele Norris; and “Michelle Obama: The Light Podcast,” an Audible original featuring her conversations with friends like Ellen DeGeneres, Tyler Perry, Conan O’Brien and Oprah Winfrey.

L.A.-based Higher Ground produces scripted and unscripted TV, feature films, animated series, podcasts and digital series.
