In the end credits scene, we see Tim Blake Nelson‘s villain, The Leader aka Samuel Sterns in the mid-ocean prison Raft after he’s defeated.

Anthony Mackie‘s Captain America, aka Sam Wilson, pays a visit for unknown reasons, and Samuel then teases the multiverse!

He tells Sam that even though they don’t share a sense of humor, they do in fact share the same world, and teases, “It’s coming. I’ve seen it in the probabilities, I’ve seen it plain as day. All you heroes protecting this world, you think you’re the only ones? You think this is the only world?”

We’ve already been introduced to many multiverse aspects, but Captain America: Brave New World is also setting up for the X-Men to join the MCU!

If you didn’t know, the MCU is currently in The Multiverse Saga, which consists of Phases 4-6, with Phase 5 coming to an end this summer. Daredevil: Born Again, Thunderbolts* and Ironheart are the last projects.

Then, Phase 6 will officially begin a month after Ironheart ends with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
