Guade Lydia Paez Hired as MrBeast Beast Industries Communications Chief

Gaude Lydia Paez, a PR veteran of Hulu, Riot Games and Fox Broadcasting, has joined Beast Industries, the company founded by YouTube star and entrepreneur Jimmy Donaldson, as chief communications officer.

Paez was most recently SVP of global communications and corporate affairs at Riot Games, the game developer and publisher behind “League of Legends.” She announced her new gig at Beast Industries in a LinkedIn post Tuesday. Donaldson, 27, is the most-followed individual YouTube creator, currently with 473 million subscribers.

“Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the chance to dive in with [Beast Industries CEO] Jeffrey Housenbold, Jimmy Donaldson, and the Beast Industries team and see firsthand the boundless creativity and care that goes into everything we do,” she wrote. “Whether it’s creating killer content, producing quality (and seriously tasty) Feastables snacks, or driving long-term global impact through Beast Philanthropy, it’s clear everyone at Beast is obsessed with telling great stories and making a positive difference in people’s lives. That energy is palpable the moment you walk through the doors.”

Next up, Paez wrote: “rolling up my sleeves as we expand into new content verticals, consumer products, and services. (And, of course, consuming as many Feastables Creamy Peanut Butter Eggs as humanly possible…).”

Before joining Riot Games in 2021, Paez spent nearly five years at Hulu, where she was SVP and head of corporate communications. Prior to Hulu, she was SVP of corporate and digital communications at Fox Broadcasting, where she worked for seven years, and earlier was director of communications at Yahoo.
