Teddy and Owen’s story has been deeply intertwined, albeit a rollercoaster. Although the on-screen couple married in season 18, they went through another rough patch and divorced prior to season 22. Last season, Teddy sparked a romance with Dr. Cass Beckman (Sophia Bush), while Owen was previously married to Cristina in season seven and Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) in season 12.
However, in the most recent episodes, it appears the US Army veterans have rekindled their flame—perhaps for the final time. After all, Shonda has teased that fans won’t necessarily witness a tragedy prompting Kim and Kevin’s exits.
“Over the years, we have had the privilege of watching Owen and Teddy’s love story evolve and deepen—two characters who always seem to find their way back to each other,” Shonda said in her own statement. “It is both bittersweet and joyful to give this couple the happy ending their story deserves.”
