Zach Braff is scrubbing an outlandish report from the rumor mill.
The Scrubs star insisted he is not in a relationship with an AI robot after he was linked to online speculation about an unnamed actor allegedly dating a virtual assistant.
“I’m not dating a chatbot,” he wrote in a March 12 Instagram Stories post. “I can’t believe I have to type these words.”
The 50-year-old went on to theorize that the rumor may have been connected to the recently-launched reboot of the ABC medical sitcom.
“It is a storyline in an upcoming ep of Scrubs, he continued. “Maybe it came from that? Not sure. But not me. Love, the guy not dating his chatbot.”
Zach—who previously dated Florence Pugh from 2019 to 2022—added, “Please update all gossip sites.”
The Garden State actor shared the message alongside a screenshot of comedian Max Silvestri from a recent episode of his I Need You Guys podcast—which he cohosts with Jenny Slate and Gabe Liedman—surmising in a subsequent Instagram Stories post that the trio and guest Kumail Nanjiani “were the origin of” the rumor.
